Old Lyme Board of Selectmen

Special Meeting
The Board of Selectmen held a Special Meeting at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 in the Meeting Hall of the Old Lyme Memorial Town Hall. First Selectwoman Bonnie Reemsnyder, Selectwoman Mary Jo Nosal and Selectman Skip Sibley were present.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss settlement terms of pending litigation involving Rose Vs. Town of Old Lyme, and pending litigation involving Maratta vs. Town of Old Lyme.
Selectwoman Nosal moved to go into executive session at 5:07 PM. Selectman Sibley seconded the motion. Atty. Gary Kaisen and Atty. Marylin Clarke were included in the Executive Session. SO VOTED.
Selectman Sibley moved to exit executive session at 6:55 PM. Selectwoman Nosal seconded the motion. SO VOTED.
First Selectwoman Reemsnyder noted that Atty. Gary Kaisen left the executive session at the conclusion of the discussion regarding Rose vs. Town of Old Lyme, and prior to the discussion regarding Maratta vs. Town of Old Lyme.
Selectwoman Nosal made a motion to approve the general terms of the draft settlement agreement submitted by Atty. Gary Kaisen and to authorize First Selectwoman Bonnie Reemsnyder to sign the final agreement. Selectman Sibley seconded the motion. Selectwoman Mary Jo Nosal and First Selectwoman Bonnie Reemsnyder voted in favor of the motion. Selectman Skip Sibley voted against the motion. MOTION CARRIED.
Selectwoman Nosal moved to adjourn the Special Meeting at 7:09 PM. Selectman Sibley seconded the motion. SO VOTED.
